The Gallery 4 presents

"SPACE AVAILABLE" Opens Friday, February 2nd, 2018 The Gallery 4 (206 S. Highland Ave., Shadyside, 412-363-5050). The Opening Reception will take place Friday, February 2nd, 2018 from 7pm - 11pm and will be opened to the general public with complimentary refreshments and cocktails provided by The Gallery 4. The Gallery 4 is open Tuesday through Saturday 1pm- 8pm. This will be the final exhibition at The Gallery 4 as the gallery will come to a permanent close.

After nearly 8 years of business(!), and over 75 exhibits with countless artists; The Gallery 4 will be coming to a permanent close. Times have changed, and our little neighborhood gallery has run its course. We hope our community and our artists have shared the benefit of our presence together over the years.

We’ve been so lucky to be able to work with so many tremendously talented individuals throughout the gallery's tenure. In celebration of our final hour, we’ve put together a selection of new works from some of our previous exhibiting artists - a chance to revisit with them and their distinctive styles, as well as to bid them good luck in all future creative endeavors. We’re very proud to present to you, this, our Final Exhibition. We hope you’ll join us in honoring the gallery and saying farewell. We look forward to going out with a bang! And as always, Only at The Gallery 4!

A personal Thanks from Our Director -

In addition to our standard media release, I thought it necessary to personally thank all the members of the local press for the kind words and special attention The Gallery 4 has recieved over these past eight years. I truly mean this because the public often forgets what it looks like to serve the local community in a less conventional fashion. Therefore, it is often left to the media to paint this picture, sometimes with only a few simple words. The perpetuated interest and long standing efforts of the PGH city paper specifically, but not entirely, provide proof that my community service has not gone unnoticed. For this I am forever grateful.

I ask, what is the gallery for? If it was for personal ego derivation, I would have named it after myself. The simple answer to a simple question.... the gallery is for all of us. ( So again, I thank all you news folk, (especially you, Lissa Brennan), for serving your community too.
